In the case of procrastination, we have to find a better reward than avoidance — one that can relieve our challenging feelings in the present moment without causing harm to our future selves.

The chief in charge (you know her, Charlie Brown’s crush, the little red-headed girl, named Jessica) has a good YouTube video about the “Wall of Awful” which dovetails nicely with these concepts.
